Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (optional, for filling)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into rectangles (around 4×6 inches each).
- Add the Filling:
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each rectangle (optional). Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Roll the Pastry:
- Roll each rectangle tightly from one end to the other, creating a log shape. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Brush with Egg Wash:
- Place the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Add Toppings:
- In a small bowl, mix sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the rolls.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed up.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them as a snack, appetizer, or side dish!
