Ingredients:
- 2 cups of crushed biscuits (e.g., Marie biscuits, graham crackers, or digestive biscuits)
- 2 cups of milk
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks (optional, for richer pudding)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup of whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Powdered sugar (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pudding:
- In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
- If using egg yolks, temper them by adding a small amount of the hot mixture, then mix back into the saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly.
- Assemble the Dessert:
- In individual serving glasses, add a layer of crushed biscuits.
- Spoon a layer of the prepared pudding over the biscuits.
- Repeat the layers until the glass is filled, finishing with a layer of pudding.
- Garnish:
- Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of crushed biscuits, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the assembled cups for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
