Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of crushed biscuits (e.g., Marie biscuits, graham crackers, or digestive biscuits)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks (optional, for richer pudding)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pudding:
    • In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
    • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
    • If using egg yolks, temper them by adding a small amount of the hot mixture, then mix back into the saucepan.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Assemble the Dessert:
    • In individual serving glasses, add a layer of crushed biscuits.
    • Spoon a layer of the prepared pudding over the biscuits.
    • Repeat the layers until the glass is filled, finishing with a layer of pudding.
  3. Garnish:
    • Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of crushed biscuits, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the assembled cups for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
