🦐 Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Boil

Smoked paprika1 tsp
Cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)½–1 tsp
Lemon juice2 tbsp
Fresh parsley, choppedΒΌ cup

* Homemade Cajun Seasoning (mix together):
2 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp onion powder, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp cayenne.


Instructions

  1. Parboil Potatoes & Corn
  • Add potatoes to a large pot of salted boiling water. Cook 8–10 min until just fork-tender.
  • Add corn pieces in the last 4 min. Drain and set aside.
  1. Cook Sausage
  • In the same pot (or a large skillet), melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add sliced sausage; cook 4–5 min until browned. Remove and set aside.
  1. Make Garlic Butter Sauce
  • In the same pot, melt remaining butter (ΒΎ cup + 2 tbsp).
  • Add minced garlic, sautΓ© 1 min until fragrant.
  • Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, paprika, cayenne, and lemon juice. Simmer 1 min.
  1. Combine Everything
  • Return sausage, potatoes, and corn to the pot. Toss to coat in sauce (3–4 min).
  • Add shrimp. Cook 3–4 min, stirring gently, until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  1. Finish & Serve
  • Taste and adjust salt/pepper.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve family-style in a large tray or on butcher paper with lemon wedges and extra sauce on the side.
