Ingredients:
For the Jelly Layer:
- 2 packs of lime-flavored jelly mix
- 4 cups of water (2 cups per pack)
For the Creamy Layer:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 2 packets of unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup of water (for blooming the gelatin)
- Zest of 2 limes (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Jelly Layer:
- Dissolve each pack of lime-flavored jelly mix in 2 cups of boiling water.
- Pour the jelly mixture into a large glass dish or mold and let it set in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Prepare the Creamy Layer:
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over ½ cup of water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Heat the bloomed gelatin in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, or until fully dissolved.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream. Add the dissolved gelatin and mix well.
- Assemble the Dessert:
- Once the jelly layer is set, gently pour the creamy mixture over it.
- Smooth the top with a spatula and sprinkle lime zest evenly over the creamy layer.
- Chill the Dessert:
- Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4-6 hours, or until the creamy layer is fully set.
- Serve:
- Slice into portions and enjoy this refreshing lime-flavored treat!
