Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 2 1/2 cups (315g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Topping:
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or parsley
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll Out the Dough:
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking tray.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter:
- Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and oregano/parsley.
- Assemble the Breadsticks:
- Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top, followed by feta cheese if using.
- Bake:
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Slice and Serve:
- Allow the breadsticks to cool slightly, then cut into strips using a pizza cutter or knife.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
