Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups (315g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or parsley
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
    • Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
    • Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  2. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Roll Out the Dough:
    • Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking tray.
  4. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and oregano/parsley.
  5. Assemble the Breadsticks:
    • Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
    • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top, followed by feta cheese if using.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Slice and Serve:
    • Allow the breadsticks to cool slightly, then cut into strips using a pizza cutter or knife.
    • Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
